FinTechStage has got BIG news!
Barcelona – June 1st, 2018
After a crazy busy FinTechStage Festival in Italy – http://bit.ly/FestivalVideos – and getting through all the GDPR emails, we are very keen to share some more exciting news about FinTechStage.
Rocket first years
17 events, through 11 countries and 16 cities, engaging over 450 speakers,10K attendees and 90 partners.
In the last three years, we have seen significant growth in terms of countries and ecosystem types covered by FTS. We have done that by focusing on the quality of relationships and the depth of expertise in highly technical relevant matters for financial innovation.
New growth and focus
Our growth and coverage does not relent. In the next 18 months, we will:
- Continue growing our ecosystem building activities in mature countries (FTS Italy, FTS Spain, Dubai, Canada, etc.)
- Supercharge our Financial Inclusion programme across Africa with the objective to create self-sustainable eco-systems and help incumbents and regulators in their innovation programs
- Launch a significant Digital Identity Programme with a view to tackle an array aspects of identity. As a fragmented space, ecosystems need to come together in this large societal issue. From regulators to startups, public sector to private. This programme will also actively support our Financial Inclusion efforts, as we see this as ground zero of a large foundational change.
Unique new talent
Given the new and exciting focus, we need to equip ourselves with additional and unique talent. It is with a great degree of pride, pleasure and pomp that we announce the arrival of Bianca Lopes to the FinTechStage family as an Entrepreneur in Residence.
Bianca (LinkedIn / Twitter) is an economist and mathematician by training, a multi-exit serial entrepreneur by spirit, and an industry recognized identity expert. Growing in her own passions, she has joined us from Canada to lead our Digital Identity programme and actively support our emerging markets strategy.
Bianca’s identity background and international network, alongside our recent partnership with Gellify (http://bit.ly/Gellify_FTS) will amplify FinTechStage’s current Africa and Latin America programs. Enabling us to become even more effective when tackling the basics of financially inclusive ecosystem building in emerging and mature markets alike.
What does this mean for you?
It means that FTS has a broader and deeper level of expertise and can provide enhanced thought leadership and engagement in identity, AI and Data than ever before.
